A mild and dry January but with rain sleet and snow on occasion

January 2012 Weather Forecast

Mild and Dry at first with some precipitation in the first week. This will continue into the second week and the temperatures will be in low single figures for most of the month. Late in week 2 it gets milder until around January 20th when it looks like cold and dry conditions will develop so expect most of the rain to fall from January 15th until January 19th. Snow is hard to pinpoint at this stage but there will certainly be snow at some stage for all parts of Ireland during January 2012....updates to follow

SLEET/SNOW ON LOW GROUND ......................75% highest in ULSTER/ NORTH CONNAUGHT

IN THE END IT TURNED OUT TO BE A VERY MILD AND WET JANUARY WITH STORMS AT THE START
