Sligo Summer Temperatures updated 13th Aug 2009

So far Summer 2009 has been a major improvement on 2008 in Ireland but perhaps not as good as 2005 or 2006. Still it looks a safe bet that we can look forward to plenty more warm days interspersed with Thundery days. Overall the temperatures are on the warm side of normal especially in the Western half of Ireland including Sligo. Indeed in the past few Summers the Western side of Ireland has warmed up considerablely in this regard. Perhaps its the fact that nights are getting warmer as is the sea. But the East is still getting nights of normal temperatures so it is hard to say. The next graph that will be entered on the page will be the amount of rainfall that Sligo has experienced so far in Summer 2009 from the weathergossip weather station

Sligos Summer Rainfall updated 13 Aug 2009

So far Summer Rainfall in Sligo is running below normal though from the graph you can see that a lot of this can be attributed to the long dry spell at the beginning of June. Last years widespread flooding is not being repeated though and this is good.
