Sligos Summer Rainfall updated 13 Aug 2009

So far Summer Rainfall in Sligo is running below normal though from the graph you can see that a lot of this can be attributed to the long dry spell at the beginning of June. Last years widespread flooding is not being repeated though and this is good.

September

The first half of September looks like being quite warm with temperatures in the low twenties on some occasions. Light winds and warm sunshine should make it feel like the Summer. Overall the month therefore will be warmer than normal and drier too than normal. However toward the end of the month it will become wetter and windier for a time bringing up the rainfall totals.

October

Starts pretty wet but overall not too wet either. Windy at times but a lot of cloudy dry days will dominate as High pressure remains close by . Temperatures around the midteens will be frequent too. So overall not a bad October. Again the end of the month promises rain and winds
